ISPON Set To Hold 38th Professional Development Conference

All is set as the Institute of Safety professional of Nigeria (ISPON) holds its 38th Professional Development Conference.

Recall the Institute which was inaugurated August 1980 as Nigeria Society of Safety Professionals (NSSP) during the annual conference of the National Industrial Safety Council of the Nigeria (NISCN) as a professional technical arm of the NISCN, NISCN-is a tripartite body comprising the Governments of the federation (represented by Director of factories, Federal Ministry of labour & productivity), Employers (represented by the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association) and labour Congress), set by the Federal Government to prevent Industrial accidents and hazards and promote occupational health and welfare in industrial establishments.

HSENations gathered that the 38th Professional Development Conference tagged ‘Mainstreaming Safety For Sustainable National Development’ is scheduled for Thursday 28th to Friday 29th of November, 2019 at Ahiajoku International event Centre, Owerri, Imo state.

The conference will witness participants from both organized sectors and individuals in the safety profession within and outside Nigeria.
